Apple has expanded its presence in India with the opening of a new office in Bengaluru, further solidifying its position in the country and increasing local manufacturing efforts. The office, located at Minsk Square, a key location in the city, spans 15 floors and can accommodate up to 1,200 employees. It incorporates dedicated lab space, collaborative areas, wellness facilities, and Caffe Macs.

Designed with a focus on energy conservation, the office will operate entirely on 100 percent renewable energy, striving to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating—the highest level of LEED certification. The interiors feature locally-sourced materials, including stone, wood, and fabric, while native plants adorn the office.

The company spokesperson emphasized that the workspace is crafted to foster innovation, creativity, and connection among its teams.

This expansion adds to Apple's corporate office footprint in Indian cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram, marking a significant milestone in the company's more than 25-year history in the country. Apple, committed to environmental sustainability, has been carbon neutral for its corporate operations since 2020 and has powered all its facilities with 100 percent renewable energy since 2018.

As India intensifies its focus on local manufacturing, Apple assembled iPhones valued at over Rs 1 lakh crore in India in 2023. The company collaborates with Indian partners, including Frank Water, contributing to environmental protection and expanding access to education and employment. Apple's Bengaluru teams span various business areas, including software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, and customer support, showcasing the company's multifaceted presence in the country.
