Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with the excise policy case. In response, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) swiftly initiated a social media campaign known as the "DP Campaign" to protest his arrest.

Led by Delhi Education Minister Atishi, AAP supporters organized a candlelight march opposing Kejriwal's arrest. Atishi clarified that party leaders and volunteers changed their profile pictures on various social media platforms, prominently displaying an image of Kejriwal behind bars accompanied by the caption 'Modi Ka Sabse Bada Dar Kejriwal.'

During a media briefing, Atishi highlighted the campaign's aim to spread Kejriwal's message nationwide. She encouraged individuals to join the movement by updating their profile pictures to "save the constitution and democracy" in India.

Atishi argued that Kejriwal's arrest was politically motivated, occurring shortly after the announcement of Lok Sabha polls. She accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of fabricating a case against Kejriwal and utilizing the Enforcement Directorate to imprison him without substantial evidence.

The Enforcement Directorate's actions were prompted by Kejriwal's repeated summons related to the excise policy case. Allegedly, Kejriwal and other accused individuals were implicated in formulating policies that favored certain parties, resulting in illicit benefits in exchange for kickbacks.

In solidarity with their leader, AAP leaders decided to refrain from celebrating Holi, considering it a symbol of justice over cruelty. Atishi emphasized the party's commitment to combatting injustice, aligning their decision with their ongoing fight against political persecution.

The AAP's stance shed light on the broader issue of political vendetta and the misuse of governmental agencies for partisan interests. Kejriwal's arrest, occurring in the context of impending elections, raised concerns about the integrity of India's democratic processes.

Despite the setback, AAP remained resilient, utilizing social media as a tool for mobilization and advocacy. The DP campaign served as both a demonstration of support for Kejriwal and a collective plea to uphold democratic principles amidst mounting political pressures.
