Krystyna Pyszkova, representing the Czech Republic, emerged victorious as she clinched the prestigious title of Miss World 2024, marking a significant return of the pageant to India after a 28-year interval. The thrilling grand finale unfolded at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, featuring an intense competition among 112 contestants from across the globe.

Among the contenders was Sini Shetty, the Femina Miss India 2022 winner, who represented India and showcased her talent on the global stage, finishing impressively in the top eight. The top four finalists, including Yasmin Azaytoun from Lebanon, Aché Abrahams from Trinidad & Tobago, and Lesego Chombo from Botswana, made compelling presentations to the Shark Tank judges during the event.

The occasion also recognized Nita Mukesh Ambani, the chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, with the Miss World humanitarian award for her commendable philanthropic efforts. Bollywood icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas conveyed a heartfelt message during the award ceremony, adding to the significance of the event.

The Miss World pageant featured various competitions that heightened the excitement, including the Miss World Talent contest, won by Miss World Tunisia, and the Multi-Media Challenge, clinched by a contestant from Vietnam. Croatia triumphed in the Sports Challenge, while the Martinique candidate secured victory in the Top Model Competition. Brazil was honored with the Beauty with a Purpose continental award.

Sini Shetty, a talented 22-year-old hailing from Mumbai, mesmerized the audience with her Bharatanatyam skills, showcasing India's rich cultural heritage. The event was co-hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and Miss World 2013 Megan Young, with captivating performances by Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar, and Shaan, among others. Polish model Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World 2021, graced the occasion with her presence.
