Kalki 2898 AD Teaser Review: Amitabh Bachchan Unveiled As Immortal Ashwatthama

Kalki 2898 AD is directed by Nag Ashwin and is set to hit the big screen on May 9th, 2024.
The teaser starts with Amitabh Bachchan sitting in a cave and praying to a Shiva linga as he is dressed in earthy tones. Soon he is interrupted by a child who asks him, 'So you don’t die? Are you a god? Who are you?' with a piece of calm music playing in the background.
The tone of the teaser quickly shifts as we see the younger version of Bachchan's character on a battlefield. He then takes out his weapon and states, “Since ancient times, I have awaited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son. Ashwatthama,” and walks away from the cave.
Kalki 2898 AD will be an epic sci-fi dystopian film and will feature some of the biggest film stars India has to offer, like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, in pivotal roles. After the filmmakers revealed the unique look of Amitabh Bachchan, fan interest is at an all-time high, and it's also an indication that this much-awaited film is hitting the silver screen soon.
