Initially introduced at IBW 2023, the ZX-6R has undergone design enhancements, and its engine has been fine-tuned to meet current emission standards
Kawasaki enthusiasts in India can rev up for an exhilarating start to the new year as the highly anticipated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is slated for launch on January 1, 2024. Initially introduced at IBW 2023, the ZX-6R has undergone design enhancements, and its engine has been fine-tuned to meet current emission standards.
Taking design cues from its larger counterpart, the Kawasaki ZX-10R, the Ninja ZX-6R exudes a sporty vibe with features such as a clip-on handlebar, rear-set footpegs, and a distinctive split headlamp setup boasting LED lighting elements.
Under the hood, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R boasts top-notch hardware, including fully adjustable 41 mm inverted forks at the front and a gas-charged mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 310 mm front disc with 4-piston calipers and a 220 mm single disc at the rear, complemented by a single-piston caliper.
Constructed on an aluminum perimeter frame, the ZX-6R comes loaded with features, including a 4.3-inch color TFT instrument display with smartphone connectivity, traction control, power mode, and an anti-lock braking system.
Powering the ZX-6R is a robust 636 cc, in-line four-cylinder engine delivering 129 bhp and 69 Nm of peak torque. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a quick-shifter and slip-and-assist clutch, the motorcycle is expected to hit the Indian market with an enticing starting ex-showroom price of around Rs 11 lakh.
Kawasaki enthusiasts can look forward to an unparalleled riding experience with the Ninja ZX-6R, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead."
