Mamata Banerjee, the esteemed Chief Minister of West Bengal, recently experienced a mishap at her home, resulting in an injury to her forehead. She took a tumble while strolling around her Kalighat residence, though the exact cause of the fall remains a bit murky.
Thankfully, her nephew and Trinamul all-India general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, swiftly accompanied her to the hospital for treatment. Following a brief stay and the application of four stitches, Mamata Banerjee is now in a stable condition, with doctors optimistic about her recovery.
Despite the severity of her injury, medical assessments at the SSKM Hospital indicated no serious harm. Although a bit dazed from the incident, Mamata Banerjee managed to communicate effectively with her attending physicians.
The news of her mishap prompted an outpouring of support from various political leaders, including Vice-president Jagdeep Dhankhar, Congress luminaries Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Shashi Tharoor, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and BJP leader Sukanto Mazumdar.
This isn't the first time Mamata Banerjee has faced physical challenges. Prior to the 2021 Assembly polls, she endured a leg fracture while campaigning in Nandigram, a setback that contributed to her electoral loss in the constituency.

Currently, Mamata Banerjee is expected to take some time to recuperate at her Kalighat residence. Once she's back on her feet, she'll resume her duties, including spearheading the Trinamul Congress's Lok Sabha election campaign.
Despite these hurdles, Mamata Banerjee remains an indomitable force in West Bengal politics, celebrated for her resilience and unwavering determination. Her supporters are eagerly awaiting her swift recovery, anticipating her triumphant return to active political engagements in the near future.
