PM Modi, drawing a symbolic connection between the initiative and the divine energy associated with Lord Ram, emphasized that devotees worldwide draw inspiration from the "suryavanshi" Lord Ram's light. He asserted that the initiative would not only alleviate the burden of electricity bills for the poor and middle classes but also contribute significantly towards making India self-sufficient in the energy sector.

Expounding on the significance of the decision, PM Modi wrote, "Today, on the auspicious occasion of consecration in Ayodhya, my resolution got further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar rooftop system on the roof of their houses."
