Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra, on January 12, where he will address the nation's youth. The National Youth Day, celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, will witness participation from various government departments and field organizations of the Department of Youth Affairs across districts nationwide.

Collaborating with multiple government departments, this year's National Youth Day celebrations will involve MY Bharat volunteers, NSS units, NYKS, and numerous educational institutions working together to contribute to India through various activities. Youth Clubs will bring their vibrant energy to create an inclusive atmosphere during the celebration.

Over 88,000 volunteers are expected to participate in the campaign, registering for events through the MY Bharat digital platform (https://mybharat.gov.in). Road safety awareness events are planned in major cities and 750 district headquarters on January 12, where trained volunteers will assist in handling traffic and conduct road safety awareness activities.

Additionally, volunteers will visit Anganwadi centers for storytelling sessions and disseminate information about government schemes. The Department of Youth Affairs aims for a unique and expansive approach to engage and empower the country's young demographic on National Youth Day.

In 763 districts across the country, a district-level mega program will kick off on National Youth Day 2024, starting with a floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. The program will showcase the district's cultural heritage and youth talent, featuring winners of Yuva Utsav and teams/individuals from host institutions.
