Rahul Gandhi Alleges Modi's Election Victories Rely On ED, CBI, Income Tax

Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi of the Congress party, gathered in Mumbai under the banner of the INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance), criticizing the ruling BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Gandhi emphasized the urgency of his Bharat Jodo yatras to address pressing issues such as unemployment, inflation, and societal division.
At the massive rally held at Mumbai's Shivaji Park, Gandhi asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's electoral triumphs rely on institutions like EVMs, ED, CBI, and Income Tax. He accused Modi of holding a monopoly over corruption and hinted that political defections, such as those within Shiv Sena and NCP, were orchestrated maneuvers.

Leaders of the INDIA alliance cautioned against granting PM Modi a third term, warning of potential erosion of democratic values. They urged voters to be well-informed, suggesting that the BJP's aim of securing over 400 seats intends to alter the Constitution.
Opposition stalwarts like Mallikarjun Kharge and Sharad Pawar echoed these sentiments, stressing the need for collective efforts to oust the BJP and protect democratic principles. Uddhav Thackeray deplored the surge of personality-centric politics, urging the public to reject the notion of "Modi Sarkar" in favor of upholding the Constitution.

Tejashwi Yadav, Mehbooba Mufti, and Kalpana Soren, wife of Hemant Soren, condemned alleged abuses of power by agencies like the ED and CBI. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin criticized the BJP's electoral financing methods and voiced support for the opposition's secular and inclusive governance vision.
Prakash Ambedkar of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi highlighted the importance of unity amidst electoral challenges, referencing divisions within the opposition. The rally served as a platform for opposition leaders to rally support and articulate a shared vision for India's future ahead of the crucial elections.
