Along with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, Ramayana is also expected to feature the superstar Yash from KGF as Ravana. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman, and talks are ongoing for Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi to portray Kumbhakarna and Vibhishana. Ranbir Kapoor has done a lot of hard work for his look as Lord Ram after playing the role of Ranvijay in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal in 2023. He underwent a rigorous routine to prepare for his role as Ram, including reducing his carbohydrate intake and intensifying cardio exercises like running and bodyweight training. He aimed to slim down rather than maintain a muscular physique, particularly focusing on losing weight from his face and torso.
