Ahead of the January 25 release of "Fighter," filmmaker Siddharth Anand took to X (formerly Twitter) to reflect on the unexpected success of his 2023 film "Pathaan," despite the prevailing challenges such as the "boycott Bollywood" movement. In a heartfelt note, Siddharth recounted the nerve-wracking moments leading up to "Pathaan's" release and the overwhelming response it received.

Siddharth expressed gratitude for the film's success, which emerged as a blockbuster despite doubts surrounding Hindi cinema at the time. He described waking up at 7 am on the release day, still reeling from a late-night cast and crew screening, and feeling a mix of numbness and hope.

The filmmaker shared pivotal moments from "Pathaan's" release, including a visit to a theater to gauge audience reactions. Notably, videos of spectators dancing to the film's theme song became symbolic of the historic success of "Pathaan," released on January 25, 2023, and ranking among the highest-grossing Hindi films.

With just over three weeks remaining until the release of "Fighter," Siddharth Anand conveyed a sense of déjà vu, experiencing similar nervousness and anticipation. "Fighter," starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, holds special significance as the first film produced by Siddharth's own company, Marflix. He emphasized the project's ambition and the dedication invested in bringing it to fruition.
