Sumit Nagal achieved a remarkable victory at the Australian Open 2024, defeating Alexander Bublik 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 in the first round of men's singles. This win marked Nagal's return to the Grand Slam's second round after a three-year hiatus. Nagal's last attempt at Melbourne Park in 2021 ended with a straight-sets loss to Ricardas Berankis.
